This project was funded for up to $920,000 to replace the town's 150,000 gallon water storage tank with a new tank of the same size. The project was completed in December of 2019.
A System Control and Data Aquisition (SCADA) sytem was installed as part of this project. The SCADA system monitors various aspects of the water system remotely and at all times. It can be programed to open and shut valves based on pre-set parameters and has the ability to auto-dial (telephone) the Water Treatment Operator and district staff if a problem is detected.
Electrical power was brought to the tank site, new fencing and a fire hydrant were also installed at the tank site as part of the project.
Funding for this project was provided in full or in part through an agreement with the State Water Resources Control Board.
